Prime Minister Announces Appointment of Victor Boudreau as New Brunswick Senator

Ottawa ON – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced the appointment of Victor Boudreau as an independent senator to fill a vacancy in the Senate for New Brunswick. The appointment was made by the Governor General, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon.

Mr. Boudreau brings over 30 years of dedicated service to the people of New Brunswick. Throughout his career, he has held several key positions in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, including Minister of Finance, Economic Development, and Health. As a proud Acadian, Mr. Boudreau has actively engaged in his community, volunteering with organizations like the Comfort Life Network and the Rotary Club of Shediac. His commitment to public service extends to his current roles as Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Shediac and as a member of the Association of Municipal Administrators of New Brunswick.

Prime Minister Trudeau expressed his confidence in Mr. Boudreau’s abilities, stating, “Mr. Boudreau’s experience in a broad range of portfolios will be a great benefit to the Senate. I am confident that he will continue to be a strong voice for New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada, and Canadians from coast to coast to coast.”
