Germany Begins Euro 2024 Campaign with Dominant 5-1 Win Over Scotland in Munich

Munich, Germany – The electric atmosphere in the sold-out Munich Football Arena turned euphoric as Germany’s starting eleven delivered a perfect 5-1 thrashing of Scotland to kick off their Euro 2024 campaign.

From the first whistle, Germany’s dominance was clear, with Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz dismantling Scotland’s defense. Wirtz and Musiala scored early, and the game’s turning point came in the 46th minute when Kai Havertz netted a penalty after Ryan Porteous saw red for fouling Ilkay Gündogan. Despite Scotland’s valiant effort, their only goal came via an Antonio Rüdiger own goal.

Jamal Musiala rightfully earned the title of Player of the Game for his pivotal role in Germany’s emphatic performance. As they prepare to face Hungary on June 19, Germany will aim to maintain the euphoric momentum from this resounding victory.
