Will Moseley Releases New Single “Mechanic” Following American Idol Success

NASHVILLE – American Idol Season 22 runner-up Will Moseley has released his latest single, Mechanic, a heartfelt country track that tells a story of emotional healing through love. The song, which dropped today via 19 Recordings / 19 Entertainment, was co-written by Moseley alongside Kaylin Robinson and Jaron Boyer, known for his work with country heavyweights like Jason Aldean and Chris Stapleton. The track was produced by Alex Maxwell.

“Mechanic is one of the best representations of my songwriting and the stories I want to tell,” Moseley shared in a statement. “It is one of the only songs of love and healing I’ve ever written, and I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out!”

Moseley rose to national attention with his raspy Southern vocals and soulful performances on American Idol. His audition earned unanimous praise from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan, securing him a Golden Ticket to Hollywood. Richie notably called him a “star” and praised his standout voice. Moseley ultimately finished second in the competition, with Abi Carter taking the title.

Following the show, Moseley released Everything But Me, a Jimmy Buffett-inspired track that quickly became a fan favourite. He recently made his arena debut opening for the Zac Brown Band at their New Year’s Eve show at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and is set to perform alongside country icons including the Marshall Tucker Band and Clint Black.
