Advance Voting Draws Over 4,300 Ballots in Ward 25 By-Election
TORONTO – The City of Toronto has confirmed that 4,376 residents cast their ballots during advance voting for the Ward 25, Scarborough-Rouge Park by-election.
Turnout was split across the two days of advance voting:
-
Saturday, September 20 – 2,049 voters
-
Sunday, September 21 – 2,327 voters
Election Day Voting – September 29
Eligible residents who have not yet voted will have their opportunity on Monday, September 29, when 37 voting places across Ward 25 will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To vote, residents must show identification that confirms both their name and qualifying address in Ward 25. A Voter Information Card (VIC), whether mailed or downloaded from the City’s MyVote webpage, is not required to cast a ballot but can help speed up the process.
Voters not yet listed on the voters’ list can still add their names at their assigned voting place on election day, provided they bring proper identification.
