Vicuna Air Launches ‘Biscuit Class’ Solo In-Cabin Pet Travel Service

Vicuna Air Biscuit Class introduces solo in-cabin international travel for pets

LONDON — Vicuna Air has unveiled a new international pet travel service called “Biscuit Class,” designed to allow pets to travel solo in the cabin of a private jet while accompanied by a trained concierge.

The service, announced March 12, represents a new approach to long-distance pet travel, offering an alternative to traditional cargo transport where animals are placed in the aircraft hold. With Biscuit Class, pets travel inside the passenger cabin of a chartered Gulfstream GV aircraft with a Vicuna concierge overseeing their care throughout the journey.

A New Approach to Pet Travel

Vicuna Air says the concept behind Biscuit Class is simple: eliminate the stress and uncertainty many pet owners associate with cargo transport.

Founder and CEO Jamie Everett said the service aims to provide a calmer and more comfortable experience for animals.

“Biscuit Class changes the terms of the conversation entirely,” Everett said in a statement announcing the launch. “For too long, pet owners have been asked to accept the unthinkable: a beloved pet locked away in a cage, frightened and alone in the cargo.”

The company says pets remain in the aircraft cabin at all times and are accompanied by a Vicuna concierge responsible for monitoring their comfort and safety during the flight.

Premium Options for Pet Owners

Biscuit Class is part of a broader suite of services offered by Vicuna Air, each designed to support international pet travel.

The company’s offerings include:

  • Biscuit Class – Solo in-cabin travel where pets fly without their owners but remain accompanied by a concierge.

  • Biscuit Class Plus – A full concierge option that includes paperwork management and door-to-door home collection and delivery.

  • Furs Class – Vicuna Air’s original service that allows owners to travel alongside their pets in the aircraft cabin.

The company also provides worldwide Wi-Fi connectivity during flights and coordinates documentation required for international pet transport.

Growing Demand in the “Pawprint Economy”

The launch of Biscuit Class comes as spending on pet products and services continues to grow globally.

Industry analysts estimate the “Pawprint Economy” could reach $500 billion by 2030, driven by the increasing number of households that consider pets part of the family.

Vicuna Air says the service responds to a growing demand among pet owners for safer and more comfortable travel options when relocating internationally or travelling long distances.

Expanding Global Routes

The London-based company currently operates flights between major global cities including London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris and Dubai.

Vicuna Air says new routes to Milan, Frankfurt and Toronto are expected to be added in the near future as the company expands its network.

Customers can also request additional destinations through the Vicuna Air website, with new charter routes introduced based on demand.

A Personal Mission Behind the Company

Everett, a lifelong dog owner and former pilot trained with the Royal Air Force, founded Vicuna Air to combine his aviation experience with a passion for animal welfare.

The company’s stated mission is to create a stress-free flying experience for animals travelling internationally.

“Now more than ever, we recognise the central role pets play in family life,” Everett said. “Vicuna Air finally gives us a way to repay that loyalty and do right by them.”
