Toronto Opens Registration for Winter Recreation Programs Next Week

Toronto winter recreation registration opens next week with 14,500 programs and 134,400 spaces for residents of all ages.

TORONTO — Toronto residents will be able to register for thousands of winter recreation activities next week as the City opens registration for the 2026 season. With more than 14,500 registered programs and 134,400 available spaces, the City continues to operate the largest municipal recreation system in Canada, offering activities for all ages, skill levels and interests.

Winter programs begin Monday, January 5, 2026, and include swimming, fitness classes, ball hockey, volleyball, skiing, snowboarding and more. All programs can be viewed on the City’s Winter Recreation webpage at toronto.ca/WinterRec.


Registration Schedule

Residents can register online based on the following dates:

  • Monday, December 1 at 10 a.m. — Older Adult programs

  • Tuesday, December 2 at 7 a.m. — Etobicoke and Toronto East York locations

  • Wednesday, December 3 at 7 a.m. — North York and Scarborough locations

Residents needing assistance can call 416-396-7378 on:

  • December 1: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Registration days: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Driftwood Community Centre – 4401 Jane St.

  • Masaryk Cowan Community Centre – 220 Cowan Ave.

  • Memorial Pool and Health Club – 44 Montgomery Rd.

  • Regent Park Community Centre – 402 Shuter St.

  • Wellesley Community Centre – 495 Sherbourne St.

  • York Recreation Centre – 115 Black Creek Dr.

Wednesday, December 3

  • Centennial Recreation Centre – 1967 Ellesmere Rd.

  • Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre – 29 St. Dennis Dr.

  • Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Community Centre – 100 Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Ln.

  • Malvern Community Recreation Centre – 30 Sewells Rd.


Older Adult Discount

Participants 60+ receive a 50% discount on adult recreation programs (excluding private, semi-private and small-group lessons). Information on subsidies and free programs is available on the City’s website.


Welcome Policy Fee Subsidy

The Welcome Policy provides recreation fee credits that can be used for programs, including CampTO. Toronto residents receiving Ontario Works are automatically pre-approved. Other residents may apply based on household income eligibility.
