Toronto’s Winter Market returns to St. Lawrence Market with expanded attractions and festive programming
Holiday event runs Thursdays to Sundays, with final day on December 22
TORONTO — Toronto’s holiday season is officially underway as the City of Toronto welcomed back its expanded Winter Market at St. Lawrence Market, offering residents and visitors an even bigger festive experience along historic Market Street.
Mayor Olivia Chow and Councillor Chris Moise (Toronto Centre) launched the event on Saturday, celebrating the return of what has quickly become one of the city’s most popular seasonal traditions. Running Thursdays through Sundays, and with an additional final day on Monday, December 22, the Winter Market is free to attend and open to all.
A larger, more festive market for 2025
Last year’s overwhelming turnout prompted organizers to expand the Winter Market with more attractions, vendors, and family-friendly activities. Market Street has been transformed into a vibrant public gathering space filled with seasonal food, artisanal goods, and holiday décor.

Mayor Olivia Chow called the event one of Toronto’s most cherished new holiday traditions.
“It brings together local vendors, families, and visitors in a warm, festive atmosphere that reflects the very best of our city,” she said. “I’m thrilled to see the market return this year with even more to explore, taste and enjoy.”
Councillor Moise echoed the excitement:
“Market Street Winter Market is back – it’s one of the most lively, charming, fun and festive places in our city. Everyone is welcome to experience the wonderful artisans, small businesses and cultural partners that transform the area into such a vibrant district.”
A historic market with modern holiday charm
