Toronto Opens Spring Recreation Program Registration
TORONTO – Toronto residents eager to get active this spring can soon sign up for the City’s recreation programs, with registration opening in late February and early March. The City of Toronto, the largest provider of recreation programs for all ages and skill levels, is offering approximately 15,200 registered programs, providing over 133,800 spaces across arts, fitness, wellness, and sports activities.
Key Registration Dates
- Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. – Older adult program registration
- Tuesday, March 4 at 7 a.m. – Etobicoke York and Toronto East York
- Wednesday, March 5 at 7 a.m. – North York and Scarborough
Residents can register online at www.toronto.ca/springrec for the fastest and most convenient access. Alternatively, registration by phone will be available by calling 416-396-7378, beginning at 10 a.m. on February 25 and 7 a.m. on March 4 and 5.

In-Person Registration Support For those needing assistance with registration, select community centres will be open on specific dates:
- Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. – All community centres
- Tuesday, March 4 from 7 a.m. to noon – Locations include Driftwood Community Centre, Masaryk Cowan Community Centre, Memorial Pool and Health Club, Regent Park Community Centre, Wellesley Community Centre, and York Recreation Centre.
- Wednesday, March 5 from 7 a.m. to noon – Locations include Centennial Recreation Centre, Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre, Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Community Centre, and Malvern Community Recreation Centre.
Support for Low-Income Residents The City continues to offer financial assistance through the Welcome Policy Recreation Fee Subsidy. Residents receiving social assistance and those with incomes below the low-income cut-off threshold may be eligible for credits to register for programs. More details can be found on the City’s website.
Preparing for Registration To help residents navigate the new registration system, the City is offering Virtual Registration Preparation Sessions on Wednesday, February 26 and Monday, March 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Participants can learn how to create wish lists, register for programs, and use the Welcome Policy online.
Discounts for Older Adults Adults aged 60 and older can take advantage of a 50 per cent discount on most recreation programs, excluding private, semi-private, and small group lessons. More information about free programs and other subsidy options is available on the City’s website.
