Toronto Launches New Online Portal for Recreation Programs and Facility Bookings
Toronto – Toronto residents can now access a newly launched online system for registering in recreation programs and booking facilities across the city. Officially rolled out on November 6th, the City of Toronto’s portal aims to simplify the booking process for recreation and cultural programs and spaces, offering improved accessibility and ease of use. The city is encouraging residents to explore the portal and set up an account before December to be ready for winter program registrations.
Creating a new account is mandatory for registering for winter programs, which include fitness, sports, arts, and more. A notable addition this winter is the opportunity for older adults to register for programs in advance of the regular registration dates. Early registration for Older Adult programs will be available citywide starting Tuesday, November 26, at 10 a.m.
All other winter program registration opens at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, and Wednesday, December 4, depending on the program. This new system also extends booking capabilities to a variety of facilities, from indoor ice rinks and fire pits to sports fields and stadiums.
Through the revamped portal, users will enjoy features such as email login, personalized wish lists, online membership purchases with auto-renewal options, and notifications for membership renewals. The portal also provides an enhanced browsing experience with photos of bookable spaces in parks, museums, and recreation centers across Toronto, as well as online access to program grades, including swimming assessments.
Several key dates are in place for residents looking to take advantage of the new system:
- Starting Now – Residents can explore the new portal and create an account, with video tutorials, written instructions, and help sessions available.
- Wednesday, November 13 – Winter program details become accessible online, enabling users to search and save their preferred programs in a wish list. Popular winter offerings include CampTO programs for PA days, the December holidays, and March Break, as well as Aquatic Leadership programs.
- Thursday, November 21 – The system opens for bookings of select drop-in activities like aquatic fitness.
- Tuesday, November 26 – Early registration for Older Adult programs opens at 10 a.m.
- Tuesday, December 3, and Wednesday, December 4 – Winter program registration opens at 7 a.m. each day for remaining program slots.
Toronto residents interested in joining programs, booking spaces, or obtaining memberships are encouraged to visit the City’s website to learn more about the portal and the programs available this winter.
