Toronto Invites Final Feedback on Vehicle-for-Hire Regulations
TORONTO – The City of Toronto continues to seek feedback from residents and industry stakeholders on its vehicle-for-hire regulations. Following a series of public consultations held in June, the City has extended the opportunity for additional input via a short survey.
The survey aims to gather final insights from those in the vehicle-for-hire industry, including taxicab operators, private transportation companies like Uber and Lyft, and other stakeholders who may have been unable to attend the consultations.

Are you in the vehicle-for-hire industry? đđ
Weâre making changes to the bylaws that may have an impact on you so weâd love to get your feedback.

The feedback collected will contribute to a comprehensive review of the Licensing of Vehicles-for-Hire Bylaw, which governs the operation of taxicabs, limousines, and private transportation services in Toronto. This review will address several outstanding City Council directives and consider impacts on accessibility, the environment, socio-economic factors, and traffic congestion.
For those who missed the public consultations, the survey is available on the City’s website. The deadline for responses is approaching, so stakeholders are encouraged to participate to ensure their views are included in the final report.
