City of Toronto Announces 2025 Community Champion Award Recipients
TORONTO – The City of Toronto, in partnership with United Way Greater Toronto, has unveiled the 25 recipients of the 2025 Toronto Community Champion Award, celebrating organizations that have made extraordinary contributions to the health, well-being, and resilience of Toronto’s diverse communities.
Now in its third year, the award recognizes local organizations that have gone above and beyond in supporting equity-deserving groups, advancing equity, inclusion, and social connectedness across the city.
“Community organizations are the heartbeat of our city,” said Mayor Olivia Chow. “They show up for people every day, helping build a stronger, more caring, and connected city.”

Each will receive a cash award to support their ongoing work and will be recognized at a special ceremony on Thursday, May 15, at the Toronto Reference Library, followed by acknowledgment at the Toronto Blue Jays’ City Connect game on May 16.
On Thursday, we will be hosting our annual Toronto Community Champion Award ceremony to honour local organizations that are making a positive impact in their communities.
