Toronto to Host Free Blue Jays Postseason Viewing Parties Across the City

Fans invited to celebrate the Blue Jays’ playoff run at Mel Lastman, Albert Campbell, and Nathan Phillips Squares

TORONTO — As playoff excitement sweeps across the city, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow announced that the City of Toronto will host free public viewing parties for all remaining Blue Jays postseason games, beginning with the American League Division Series (ALDS).

The events will offer fans a chance to come together and cheer on the Blue Jays in a vibrant, community setting — transforming Toronto’s public squares into open-air arenas for playoff celebrations.

“Toronto is a baseball city and when it’s the postseason, we want everyone to experience the excitement together,” said Mayor Chow. “These viewing parties are our way of turning every corner of the city into one big cheering section. Let’s make some noise for the Jays!”

The first ALDS viewing party kicks off Wednesday, October 8 at 7:08 p.m. at Mel Lastman Square (5100 Yonge St.), followed by a potential second event Friday, October 10 at 8:08 p.m. at Albert Campbell Square (150 Borough Dr.), if necessary.

Should the Blue Jays advance, viewing parties for the American League Championship Series (ALCS) and World Series will move to Nathan Phillips Square, running from October 12 to November 1.

The city encourages fans to wear their Blue Jays gear, bring friends and family, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. The outdoor screenings also provide an opportunity to support Toronto’s local restaurants and businesses, turning every playoff game into a full city celebration.

Toronto’s viewing parties are free, open to all ages, and designed to keep the city’s playoff energy alive deep into October.
