Tim Hortons Launches “The Canadian Dream” Campaign Featuring Kiefer Sutherland and Bahamas

Toronto — Just in time for the Victoria Day long weekend, Tim Hortons is tapping into what unites Canadians from coast to coast with its newest national campaign, “The Canadian Dream.”

Narrated by iconic Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland and set to music by acclaimed singer-songwriter Bahamas, the spot debuted today across Canada and is airing during major hockey playoff broadcasts. The campaign celebrates Canada’s scenic beauty, its people, and the unspoken connections that unite Canadians — over road trips, flag-waving, and, of course, a Tims coffee in hand.

“Tim Hortons is such an iconic Canadian brand. Having the chance to partner with them to share this message about Canadians for Canadians has been a special privilege,” said Sutherland.

Developed by GUT Toronto, the ad features cinematic shots of Canadian landscapes and simple, powerful gestures — flag waving, long drives, quiet pride — stitched together by a warm, nostalgic soundtrack and Sutherland’s voiceover. It’s a tribute to the values of connection, simplicity, and national pride that Tim Hortons says embody the Canadian spirit.

“At a time when more and more Canadians are proudly flying our flag and reflecting on all the things that make our country special, we were thrilled to work with Kiefer on this campaign,” said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons.

“The Canadian Dream” is now streaming on YouTube and airing nationwide as part of the brand’s long weekend celebrations.

Tim Hortons, founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964, has grown to nearly 4,000 restaurants across Canada and over 6,000 locations globally. The brand remains a defining part of Canada’s cultural landscape — from its signature Double-Double™ to the ever-popular Timbits®.
