Tim Hortons Brings Back Cheese Melts and Bacon Melts Across Canada

Cheese Melts and Bacon Melts Back on Menus

TORONTO — Tim Hortons is bringing back two fan-favourite menu items after months of customer demand, with Cheese Melts and Bacon Melts officially returning to restaurants across Canada.

The quick-service chain announced the return of the popular grilled sandwich lineup on May 27, positioning the relaunch as part of its continued focus on comfort foods and value-driven meal options.

“Tims fans are passionate about their favourite menu items and we heard loud and clear how much they missed Melts,” said Matthew Feaver, Head of Innovation for Tim Hortons, in a statement.

“We’re so excited to give our guests what they’ve asked for by bringing back our Cheese Melt and Bacon Melt — there’s something about grilled bread and gooey, melted cheese that makes for a craveable, comforting meal.”

The returning sandwiches are available individually starting at $5.79, while combo meals paired with a Coca-Cola beverage and either Potato Wedges or a Classic Donut start at $8.99, according to the company. Prices may vary by location.

New Menu Additions Expand Tims Offerings

Alongside the return of Melts, Tim Hortons is also introducing several limited-time menu additions.

The company has expanded its tart lineup with the launch of a new Lemon Blueberry Tart, featuring real blueberries, lemon filling, and a flaky crust. The dessert follows the earlier release of the Custard Tart, which gained popularity among customers this year.

Tim Hortons has also added a new protein-focused breakfast option with the launch of Sausage & Four Cheese Omelette Bites.

The limited-time offering includes 13 grams of protein per serving, with guests able to mix and match flavours including Bacon & Cheese and Spinach & Egg White. Two Omelette Bites are priced at $3.99.

A Canadian Brand Staple

Founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964, Tim Hortons has grown into Canada’s largest quick-service restaurant chain, operating nearly 4,000 locations nationwide and more than 6,000 restaurants globally.

The brand remains one of the country’s most recognizable food and beverage chains, with menu offerings ranging from coffee and baked goods to breakfast sandwiches, soups, wraps, and specialty drinks.

The return of Melts comes as restaurant brands across Canada continue leaning into nostalgia-driven menu revivals and comfort-food offerings aimed at value-conscious consumers.
