Hazel McCallion Line: Key Construction Updates

Mississauga – Construction on the Hazel McCallion Line is moving forward along Hurontario Street in Mississauga and Brampton. Here’s the latest on the progress:

Mississauga Centre/Cooksville

Lane reductions at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe Road and Hurontario Street, in place since July 11, are concluding today, September 19, 2024. These reductions were necessary for the installation of LRT tracks, which are now being integrated into the existing road network.

Mississauga South

Work continues in the Mississauga South area, with general construction updates indicating steady progress and minimal traffic disruptions.

Mississauga North and Brampton

Construction activities in these areas are ongoing, with modifications to local roads and infrastructure in preparation for the LRT system.

Upcoming Track Testing

As the Hazel McCallion Line nears completion, track testing will soon commence. Residents can expect periodic updates on testing schedules and any potential impacts on local traffic.
