Sunwing’s Vacation Van Goes International with Trivia Adventure in Jamaica
TORONTO – Sunwing Vacations has taken its popular Vacation Van activation to new heights—this time all the way to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
After its successful debut in Toronto in November 2024, the interactive pop-up experience returned this March with a tropical twist. Partnering again with RIU Hotels & Resorts and Canadian game show host Adam Growe, Sunwing delivered a three-day trivia-filled getaway designed to turn vacation moments into unforgettable memories.
The activation was staged at the newly opened Riu Palace Aquarelle in Falmouth, Trelawny—RIU’s first resort in that area and seventh in Jamaica. Known for its beachfront views, on-site water park, and international dining options, the resort served as the perfect base for the high-energy trivia competition.
The event unfolded over three days:

Day 1 kicked off with a quiz on the airport transfer bus, where Growe surprised arriving guests with trivia questions and prizes courtesy of Sunwing partner NexusTours.

Day 2 brought guests poolside at the Ska Bar for a resort-wide trivia showdown, where winners earned a spot on the next day’s exclusive adventure.

Day 3 culminated in an epic day trip to Good Hope, organized by NexusTours and Chukka Caribbean Adventures. Guests ziplined, rafted, rode horseback, and took part in pop-up quizzes throughout the day. In a final twist, all trivia participants were awarded a free Sunwing vacation package with RIU Hotels & Resorts.
“It’s been a blast to bring my quizzical style and trivia fun to Sunwing’s Vacation Van activations, whether on the streets, by the pool or on a day of adventure,” said Growe in a statement. “Experiencing Jamaica’s vibrant culture and kind people has me eager to return.”
The original Vacation Van hit Toronto streets last fall, testing the public’s “flynancial” knowledge in surprise gameshow-style encounters. That activation also featured a social media contest on @SunwingVacations’ Instagram, and this latest Jamaica trip will follow suit with online giveaways this week.
