Subaru Canada Launches 2026 Solterra EV with More Range, Power, and Lower Starting Price

MISSISSAUGA — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) has officially announced the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV, an upgraded version of its flagship all-electric SUV. The latest model delivers improved range, power, and charging speed — while starting at $52,495, making it $4,000 less than the 2024 version.
With a refreshed design, enhanced performance, and expanded charging compatibility, the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV is designed to meet the demands of Canadian drivers seeking capability and efficiency in one modern electric SUV.
“The 2026 Solterra builds on everything Canadians loved about the original, with more range, faster charging, and enhanced performance—all at a lower price,” said a Subaru Canada spokesperson.
Upgraded Performance and Range on the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV
Powered by a 77.0 kWh lithium-ion battery, the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV achieves an estimated 446 kilometres of range — a 25% increase from the outgoing model. The vehicle’s dual-motor setup produces 338 combined horsepower, enabling acceleration from 0–100 km/h in under 5 seconds.
With DC fast charging (10–80% in about 30 minutes) and charging speeds up to 150 kW, the new Solterra ensures quick pit stops, even in colder conditions, thanks to a new battery preconditioning system.
The addition of a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port grants Subaru drivers access to 15,000+ Tesla Superchargers across North America beginning in 2025.

The 2026 Subaru Solterra EV continues Subaru’s legacy of rugged performance with Symmetrical Full-Time All-Wheel Drive and 210 mm of ground clearance.
The model’s X-MODE Dual-Mode System offers Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings, while Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control deliver stability on steep or slippery terrain. Updates to suspension and steering also enhance comfort and responsiveness for both highway and trail driving.
