Spin Master Unveils Eco-Friendly Kinetic Sand Collection to Foster Environmental Awareness in Kids

(TSX: TOY), a leading global children’s entertainment company, has launched its innovative Kinetic Sand Project Planet™ collection, combining sensory play with environmental education. The new collection is designed to captivate children while teaching them about sustainability and the importance of protecting our ecosystems.

The Project Planet collection introduces two ocean-themed playsets: the Turtle Beach Playset and the Deep Sea Playset. Each set is crafted from 100% Ocean-Bound Recycled plastics, which are plastics at risk of ending up in the ocean, aligning with Spin Master’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Turtle Beach Playset
Retailing at $14.99, this playset features 14oz of blue and brown Kinetic Sand, a mother turtle figure that also serves as an egg mold, three baby turtles, and two tools. It offers a hands-on experience of a sea turtle’s lifecycle, from hatching to reaching the ocean. The set includes educational fact cards that provide insights into turtle lifecycles and ocean conservation.

Deep Sea Playset
At a price of $19.99, this playset contains 24oz of white, teal, and blue Kinetic Sand. It includes a seashell scooper, a stingray figure, a mother and baby dolphin figure, and a whale shark figure. Children can explore the ocean’s depths, uncovering hidden characters and patterns in the sand. Educational resources with the set highlight ocean biodiversity and conservation efforts.

In collaboration with The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Lab, Spin Master is donating $100,000 to support global conservation initiatives. This partnership aims to enhance the educational impact of the playsets by providing additional resources on environmental science and conservation.
