Showcase and W Network Unveil Star-Powered Midseason Lineups for Winter 2026
TORONTO — Corus Entertainment has announced its winter 2026 midseason programming slate for Showcase and W Network, featuring a mix of high-profile premieres, returning fan favourites, and the final season of a long-running hit series. All new and returning titles will be available to stream on STACKTV.
Jennifer Abrams, Senior Vice President of Content and Marketing at Corus Entertainment, said the midseason schedule reflects the networks’ focus on premium storytelling across genres, combining international exclusives with established audience favourites.
Showcase: New Drama, Espionage, and Limited Series
Showcase’s winter lineup begins with the premiere of Amadeus on January 5 at 9 p.m. ET. The limited drama stars Will Sharpe as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Paul Bettany as rival composer Antonio Salieri, reimagining their decades-long rivalry through a psychological lens set in 18th-century Vienna.
Espionage thriller The Copenhagen Test follows on January 6 at 9 p.m. ET, starring Canadian actor Simu Liu as an intelligence analyst who discovers his mind has been hacked, forcing him into a dangerous double life.
On January 7 at 9 p.m. ET, Showcase premieres Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, a limited drama filmed in Toronto that examines the crimes of serial killer John Wayne Gacy while centring the experiences of victims and their families. STACKTV subscribers will receive early access to the full series beginning December 22, ahead of its linear broadcast debut.
The network’s midseason schedule continues with PONIES, premiering January 15 at 9 p.m. ET, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as embassy secretaries turned CIA operatives in Cold War-era Moscow.
W Network: Comedy, Drama, and Returning Hallmark Favourites
W Network’s winter schedule begins with the return of The Chicken Sisters for Season 2 on January 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by Season 11 of When Calls the Heart at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
New comedy Z Suite debuts January 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a two-episode premiere, starring Lauren Graham in a generational workplace clash between seasoned executives and Gen-Z disruptors.
Also joining the lineup is The ‘Burbs, executive produced by and starring Keke Palmer, with broadcast details to be announced at a later date.
Final Farewell for Outlander
One of W Network’s most popular series, Outlander, will conclude with its eighth and final season, premiering March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The final chapter follows Claire and Jamie Fraser as they confront new threats to their home and family while reckoning with long-buried secrets.

All Showcase and W Network series will be available via STACKTV, which can be accessed through Amazon Prime Video, Rogers Ignite TV, Bell Fibe TV, Fubo, and other major Canadian television distributors.
