Sesame Street Live! Brings ‘Elmo’s Got the Moves’ to Mississauga This May

Sesame Street Live Elmo’s Got the Moves brings music, dancing and family fun to Mississauga this May

MISSISSAUGA — Families across the Greater Toronto Area will have a chance to sing, dance and move along with some of television’s most recognizable children’s characters when Sesame Street Live! Elmo’s Got the Moves arrives at the Living Arts Centre on Sunday, May 17.

Presented as part of the saugaLIVE event lineup, the interactive family production will feature Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and other Sesame Street favourites in a live stage experience focused on music, movement and playful learning.

Two performances are scheduled for May 17:

  • 2 p.m. (nearly sold out)
  • 6 p.m.

Interactive Family Entertainment

According to event organizers, the production is designed to encourage families to participate together through dancing, stretching and singalongs featuring classic Sesame Street songs including Sunny Days, Elmo’s Got the Moves and Letter of the Day.

The live experience will also introduce movement-based activities such as yoga, jumping rope, silly dance routines and interactive audience participation designed for younger children and families.

Organizers describe the production as more than just a stage show, emphasizing its focus on creating shared family experiences and memorable moments between parents and children.

Tickets and Meet-and-Greet Information

Tickets for the performances start at $49 plus fees, with limited availability remaining for the evening performance.

Families can also purchase access to a post-show meet-and-greet and photo experience featuring Sesame Street characters. Organizers note that all attendees participating in the meet-and-greet — including adults and children — require both a show ticket and a separate meet-and-greet ticket.

Babes-in-arms tickets are available for infants between zero and 12 months old through the Living Arts Centre ticket office.

The event will take place at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, one of the city’s major performing arts venues and a frequent host of family-focused programming, concerts and touring productions.

Family Entertainment Continues Across Mississauga

The event comes as Mississauga continues expanding its family entertainment and cultural programming throughout the spring and summer season.

City officials say productions like Sesame Street Live! help attract audiences of all ages while supporting the local arts and entertainment sector.

More information and ticket details are available through the Living Arts Centre and saugaLIVE event listings.
