Second Cup Café Opens New Location at North York Centre with Grand Opening Celebration on November 27

Second Cup North York Opening brings discounts, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a new café to the heart of Yonge Street.

NORTH YORK — Second Cup Café is expanding its footprint in the Greater Toronto Area with a new location opening inside North York Centre, marking the brand’s 178th café in Canada and strengthening its long-standing presence in one of Toronto’s busiest urban districts.

Located at 5150 Yonge Street, Unit F8 (Floor 1), the new café will officially open its doors on November 27, inviting customers to enjoy a full day of exclusive promotions and a ribbon-cutting celebration. Guests will receive 25 percent off all menu items, all day, as part of the grand opening festivities.

“Opening a café in the heart of the city is truly exciting for us,” said Otman Haouzi, Brand Leader of Second Cup, in the company’s announcement. “We look forward to welcoming guests, introducing our team, and contributing to the energy of the North York community.”

The café is owned by franchisees Ruchika and Nishant, who now operate two Second Cup locations in North York. Their latest opening brings the brand’s total number of cafés in the area to four. According to the company, the family’s long relationship with the brand runs deep—so much so that their daughter has informally grown into a young ambassador for the cafés.

Second Cup Café, a Canadian coffeehouse brand established in 1975, continues to emphasize ethical sourcing, sustainability, and community-driven hospitality. The new North York Centre location will offer the brand’s signature beverages, food options, and café experience familiar to guests across the country.

The brand is part of Foodtastic, one of Canada’s largest restaurant franchisors with more than 1,200 locations nationwide, including Freshii, Quesada, Pita Pit, Milestones, and other well-known banners.
