Second Cup Brings Back Dubai-Inspired Chocolate and Pistachio Drinks to Select Toronto Locations

Second Cup’s Dubai chocolate pistachio drinks return for limited time

TORONTO — A select number of Second Cup Café locations in Toronto are reintroducing their Dubai-inspired chocolate and pistachio beverages for a limited time, following strong demand during their initial holiday release.

The drinks, which first launched during the 2025 holiday season, quickly gained popularity and sold out across multiple markets. Their return is being positioned as a final opportunity for customers to try the seasonal offerings before they are retired again.

Limited-Time Menu Highlights

The returning lineup includes two specialty beverages that combine chocolate and pistachio flavours — a pairing that has grown in popularity globally:

  • Dubai Chocolate Latte – A blend of espresso, chocolate and pistachio, featuring a creamy non-dairy pistachio base
  • Dubai Hot Chocolate – A rich chocolate and pistachio drink topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle

According to the company, availability is limited to select Toronto locations and is expected to be short-lived based on previous demand.

Growing Trend for Global Flavours

The reintroduction reflects a broader shift in consumer preferences toward internationally inspired and premium flavour combinations, particularly in urban markets like Toronto.

Pistachio, in particular, has seen increased use in specialty beverages and desserts, driven by its versatility and association with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines.

Industry observers note that limited-time offerings featuring distinctive flavour profiles can generate strong customer interest, especially when paired with seasonal or exclusive availability.

Local Demand Expected to Be Strong

Toronto’s diverse culinary landscape continues to support experimental and globally influenced menu items, with coffee chains and independent cafés alike introducing new flavours to meet evolving tastes.

With the drinks previously selling out across markets, the limited return at select locations is expected to attract both returning customers and those who missed the initial release.

Second Cup has not specified how long the beverages will remain available, reinforcing the short-term nature of the promotion.
