Second Cup Café Opens at Bramalea GO Station, Serving Brampton Commuters
The Canadian coffee chain partners with Metrolinx to bring premium coffee and fast service to one of Brampton’s busiest transit hubs.
BRAMPTON – Commuters at Bramalea GO Station now have a new reason to look forward to their daily rides: a Second Cup Café has officially opened inside the recently redeveloped station, offering a convenient on-the-go option for coffee and food.
The 620-square-foot café is the only staffed food and beverage outlet within the station building, complementing vending machines and a food truck already on site. Customers can order directly at the counter or save time through the Second Cup mobile app, which supports mobile ordering and pickup.
A Local Investment in Brampton
The new Bramalea GO location is locally owned and operated, creating 10 jobs with more expected to be added as demand grows. Franchise partners David Pham and Tony Nguyen — who also own Second Cup cafés at 340 College Street in Toronto and 4553 Hurontario Street in Mississauga — led the development of this project.
“This new café reflects our partnership with Metrolinx to better serve communities at key transit hubs,” said Sam Wadera, Vice President Brand of Second Cup Café, in the release. “We’re excited to be part of Brampton’s growth by offering commuters a welcoming stop that delivers friendly, high-speed service, top quality and great taste—all in one place.”
Community Response and Design
The café held a soft launch on July 28, 2025, and has since received a warm response from commuters and the Brampton community. Its design reflects a modern café experience, while making use of the station’s open environment, giving passengers the option to enjoy drinks and treats before boarding their trains.
A Partnership with Transit Expansion
The opening reflects Second Cup’s collaboration with Metrolinx, as the transit agency continues to upgrade and expand GO Transit facilities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The Bramalea GO Station redevelopment is part of a wider effort to support commuter growth in Brampton, one of Ontario’s fastest-growing cities.
Second Cup Café, a Canadian staple since 1975 and now part of the Foodtastic restaurant group, continues to expand across the country with a focus on sustainability, ethical sourcing, and local community ties.
