Ottawa, Ontario – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Canada from September 25 to 26, 2024. The visit aims to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries on key global issues such as peace, security, and collective defense.

President Macron’s trip will include stops in Ottawa and Montréal. In Ottawa, the Prime Minister and President Macron will discuss ongoing geopolitical concerns, notably the support both nations are providing to Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression. The leaders will also explore strategies to enhance their countries’ responses to emerging global threats, including disinformation campaigns.
