Premier Doug Ford Christmas greetings highlight gratitude for families and essential workers across Ontario

TORONTO — Premier Doug Ford marked Christmas Day by extending holiday greetings to people across Ontario, recognizing the significance of the day for Christian communities and thanking essential workers serving the province through the holiday season.

In a statement released on December 25, the premier said Christmas is a time when families and loved ones come together, reflecting on joy, peace and generosity.

“For Christians in Ontario and around the world, it is also one of the most important holy days of the year, honouring the birth of Jesus,” Ford said, adding that he hopes those celebrating are able to spend the day with family and loved ones.

The premier also acknowledged the contributions of essential workers who continue to serve Ontarians during the holidays, including first responders and health-care professionals.

“I also want to thank and acknowledge our first responders, health-care workers and all other essential workers who will be working through the holiday,” Ford said. “Thank you for all that you do to make our province a safer and healthier place to live.”

Ford concluded the message by extending personal holiday wishes on behalf of his family, wishing Ontarians a Merry Christmas and a safe holiday season.
