Pizza Nova Raises More Than $151K for Variety Ontario Through Annual Fundraiser
That’s Amore Pizza for Kids campaign has now raised more than $3 million since 1999
Pizza Nova has raised $151,935 for Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario through its 27th annual That’s Amore Pizza for Kids fundraiser, continuing a long-running charitable partnership focused on supporting children and youth with disabilities across Ontario.
The one-day fundraiser took place on May 12, 2026, with Pizza Nova offering medium cheese or pepperoni pizzas for $5.99, tax included. The company donated $1 from every promotional pizza sold to Variety Ontario programs.
The funds were officially presented on May 19 during a cheque presentation at Variety Village attended by Pizza Nova executives, Variety ambassadors, families, and supporters.
Longstanding Community Partnership
Since launching in 1999, the annual fundraiser has now generated more than $3 million for Variety Ontario.
“Seeing our customers, franchisees, team members and partners come together for one special and memorable day in support of such a good cause is a winning formula, and a meaningful reminder of why this campaign has been successful since 1999,” said Domenic Primucci, President of Pizza Nova, in a statement.
“At Pizza Nova, community has always been central to who we are. We are honoured to continue supporting Variety and its work to create more inclusive opportunities for children and families across Ontario.”
Variety Ontario says proceeds from the campaign help fund inclusive sports, arts, education, camps, life skills programming, and mobility equipment for children with disabilities.
The funding also supports Variety Village, the organization’s accessible facility focused on sports, recreation, fitness, and community programming.
Supporting Accessible Programs Across Ontario
Charlie Johnstone, President and CEO of Variety Ontario, said partnerships like the Pizza Nova campaign help the organization continue expanding access to programs and services for children and families.
“We are deeply grateful to Pizza Nova and everyone who participated in the That’s Amore Pizza for Kids campaign,” Johnstone said in the release.
“Partnerships like this help ensure that Variety can give children with disabilities access to the programs, experiences and support systems they need to build confidence, independence and community.”
The cheque presentation included Pizza Nova founder Sam Primucci, Pizza Nova mascot Leonardough, and several Variety ambassadors and family members connected to the organization’s programming.
