Pita Pit Launches 8th Annual National Fundraiser to Support Make-A-Wish Canada

Toronto – May 13, 2025 — Pita Pit is once again turning pitas into powerful moments of hope. The Canadian-owned quick-service restaurant brand has launched its 8th annual fundraising campaign in support of Make-A-Wish® Canada, running from May 12 to June 8.

Customers can contribute by donating $2 in-store to receive a Make-A-Wish star, with proceeds going directly to help grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses. As part of the initiative, Pita Pit will also donate $1 from every pita, bowl, and salad sold nationwide on Wednesday, June 4.

“Each year, our franchisees, team members, and loyal customers come together to support this cause, and the impact is truly inspiring,” said Chris Cann, Brand Leader at Pita Pit. “We’re hopeful this year’s campaign will help grant even more wishes for very special children and their families.”

Since 2017, Pita Pit and its guests have raised over $229,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada, bringing joy, strength, and hope to kids across the country.

“Wishes have the power to be transformative for a wish child on their medical journey, and partners like Pita Pit help make that possible,” added Meaghan Stovel McKnight, CEO of Make-A-Wish Canada.

With more than 100 Pita Pit locations participating nationwide, the campaign invites Canadians to turn their meal choices into moments that truly matter.
