Pita Pit Celebrates 30 Years with BBQ Rib Summer Combo Nationwide

Limited-time offering kicks off May 27 at all Canadian locations

TORONTO – Pita Pit is firing up the flavour this summer as it marks its 30th anniversary with the return of a fan favourite: the BBQ Rib pita. Starting May 27, the limited-time offering will be available at all Pita Pit locations across Canada through the end of August.

The BBQ Rib pita is built for summer cravings. It features tender BBQ rib-style meat paired with a tangy, spicy Tabasco-based sauce and sweet grilled pineapple, topped off with Pita Pit’s signature fresh vegetables and toppings. The flavour profile balances sweet heat with refreshing bites—ideal for the warm-weather season.

“The balance of grilled pineapple and spicy sauce makes this pita both craveable and refreshing—exactly what customers are looking for this time of year,” said Chris Cann, Brand Leader for Pita Pit.

To complete the seasonal combo, Pita Pit is offering two exclusive sides: Pineapple Fanta and Ms. Vickie’s Jalapeño & Cheddar chips. The tropical soda cools the spice, while the chips add a bold crunch, making it a flavour-forward meal from start to finish.

Customers can enjoy the BBQ Rib protein in a traditional pita, salad, or rice bowl, offering versatility for every taste.

Founded in Kingston, Ontario in 1995, Pita Pit has grown into a national staple known for fresh, customizable meals. Its parent company, Foodtastic, operates more than 1,200 restaurant locations across Canada, including banners like Freshii, Quesada, and Second Cup.
