Ontario Invests $17 Million to Enhance Workforce Opportunities in Northern Ontario
Thunder Bay – Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced a significant investment of nearly $17 million through the Skills Development Fund during a visit to Thunder Bay today. This strategic move is set to benefit over 36,000 workers across Northern Ontario by providing crucial support to connect them with higher-paying jobs and career opportunities in critical sectors.
The funding will focus on developing skills in high-demand industries such as mining, construction, forestry, and energy. This initiative aims to address the region’s workforce needs and bolster its economic prospects.
