OLG and Kevin Leonel Launch Sustainable Fashion Line in Toronto
Toronto – The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and international fashion designer Kevin Leonel are set to make waves in the fashion world with the debut of their limited-edition LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop collection. This unique line of upcycled clothing will be showcased in a special pop-up event at The Well in Toronto from July 12 to 14.
Event Details:
- Event Name: LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop Pop-Up
- Where: The Well, 486 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 0V2
- When: July 12, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM; July 13-14, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The collection, featuring handmade hoodies, jackets, and shirts made entirely from thrifted textiles, is not just a fashion statement but also includes a lottery bonus that can be used toward a year’s worth of LOTTO MAX tickets. Each piece in the collection is adorned with seven thrifted numbers, adding an exciting lottery element to the unique fashion items.
Kevin Leonel, known for his nostalgic high-fashion pieces crafted from upcycled sports memorabilia, has brought his creative vision to the LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop. “I’m a dreamer, myself. That’s how I got to be here, doing what I love,” said Leonel. “Numbers can be special for people. It’s a way to connect with your dreams. My team and I really enjoyed assembling these pieces for LOTTO MAX knowing each number we sewed on could give someone the chance to go from retro to riches.”
The LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop collection will officially go on sale on July 22, 2024. Those interested can sign up on OLG.ca/ThriftDrop by July 21, 2024, to receive a link to the sale website as soon as it becomes available. Quantities are limited, so early sign-up is encouraged.
Attendees of the pop-up event will have the chance to view the collection in person, try on the pieces, and even win a garment from the LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop collection for free. Additionally, there will be opportunities to win a $500 Ticketmaster gift card and a $100 OLG gift card.
“LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop combines fun with style, while maintaining OLG’s commitment to give back to local communities,” said Melissa Finley, Director of National Draw Based Games at OLG. “The last time LOTTO MAX dropped a clothing line, it sold out in 24 hours. We wanted to give more Ontarians the chance to not just look like a million bucks, but to experience the thrill of LOTTO MAX and have a chance to win millions, too.”
The collection features four styles: the Knitted Split Hoodie, Vintage Lace Jacket, Vintage Lace Shirt, and Split T-Shirt. Each garment is a testament to recent sustainable consumer shopping trends and the increased demand for second-hand and vintage items.
All proceeds from the LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop collection will be donated to EcoEquitable, an Ottawa-based charity focused on reducing textile waste and empowering women through sewing skills development. This partnership reflects OLG’s dedication to community and environmental responsibility.
As one of the largest non-tax revenue generators for the province, OLG reinvests 100% of its profits back into Ontario communities. Last fiscal year, OLG delivered $2.4 billion back to the province, with lottery ticket sales contributing significantly to this amount.
Don’t miss this unique fusion of fashion, sustainability, and opportunity. Visit The Well from July 12 to 14 to be part of the LOTTO MAX Thrift Drop Pop-Up and explore a collection that could make your dreams come true.
