Noodlebox Celebrates Etobicoke Grand Opening With Community Support and Bold Flavours

Asian fusion noodle chain brings wok-fired flavours to Bloor Street West while supporting local youth hockey and community programs.

ETOBICOKE, ON — Noodlebox marked the grand opening of its first Etobicoke location last weekend, bringing its signature wok-fired Asian fusion cuisine to Bloor Street West while reinforcing its commitment to community engagement.

The new restaurant, located at 3014 Bloor Street West, officially opened Saturday with a full day of festivities, including bubble tea samples, live music, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a buy-one-get-one-free promotion for guests. As part of the celebration, 10 per cent of opening-day proceeds were donated to support a local youth hockey team.

“Not only do we show up for our community, we also bring bold flavours and sky-high spice levels,” said Michael Contento, operator of the Etobicoke location and other Foodtastic-owned brands including Freshii and Second Cup. “Community involvement is essential to how we operate and grow our businesses.”

The Etobicoke store also supports a local school lunch program and nearby community theatres, continuing Noodlebox’s focus on neighbourhood partnerships as it expands across Ontario.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Daniela Bredin, Marketing Manager of Noodlebox, alongside franchisees Michael Contento and Sabi Dhawan, officially welcoming the brand to the west end.

“We are thrilled to bring scorching heat levels and tailor-made bowls cooked fresh with fire to Etobicoke,” said Trista Jorgenson, Marketing Director of Noodlebox. “From a humble beginning as a food cart in BC to a nation-wide chain, Noodlebox has what it takes to keep customers craving more.”

A Transit-Friendly, Co-Branded Concept

The restaurant sits directly across from Royal York subway station on Line 2, offering convenient access for commuters and neighbourhood residents. The location is co-branded with Second Cup, providing guests with a wider range of food and beverage options while maximizing foot traffic and convenience.

Noodlebox’s menu features 14 customizable noodle and rice boxes, allowing guests to select spice levels ranging from mild to ghost pepper. Popular menu items include Spicy Peanut, Teriyaki, and Pad Thai, alongside nine flavours of bubble tea.

The Etobicoke opening marks Noodlebox’s 22nd location in Ontario and its 70th nationwide. The brand, which operates in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, and Ontario, expects to open at least 10 additional locations in 2026.

Customers can also download the Noodlebox loyalty app, which offers weekly promotions, including $5 off orders every Thursday.
