Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre Unveils Star-Studded Lineup for 2024 Season

Mississauga, ON — The Living Arts Centre (LAC) in Mississauga is set to captivate audiences this fall with a lineup of spectacular performances that promises to deliver unforgettable experiences. Announcing its first four shows for the 2024 season, the LAC is kicking off with a series of events that are sure to delight music and theatre enthusiasts across the Greater Toronto Area.

The season begins on September 28, 2024, with An Evening With The Fab Four, a premier Beatles tribute band known for their remarkable ability to recreate the magic of the iconic group. This exclusive event offers fans a chance to relive the classic hits of John, Paul, George, and Ringo in a performance that aims to transport audiences back to the swinging ’60s.

Following closely on September 29, 2024, is the Canadian Premiere of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert. This unique event pairs the beloved 1986 film with a live musical performance featuring David Bowie’s original vocals. The concert promises an enchanting blend of film and live music, capturing the magic of Henson’s fantasy world in a new and immersive way.

On October 10, 2024, the LAC welcomes Pink Martini, celebrating their 30th anniversary with a special performance. Founded by Thomas Lauderdale and fronted by the charismatic China Forbes, this “little orchestra” is renowned for its diverse musical style. Pink Martini’s performance will feature a mix of genres and their signature hit, “Sympathique (Je ne veux pas travailler),” continuing to enchant audiences with its global appeal.

The excitement continues on October 20, 2024, with Blippi: Join the Band Tour!, a live show designed for families. Blippi, along with his friend Meekah and a live band, will engage children with a musical journey exploring sounds, rhythms, and instruments through interactive performances of popular Blippi songs.

The Living Arts Centre’s 2024 season is shaping up to be one of its most exciting yet, with a total of 11 events scheduled through December and more anticipated. This diverse lineup showcases the LAC’s commitment to bringing world-class entertainment to Mississauga and beyond, offering something for everyone this fall.
