Mississauga, ON — The Living Arts Centre (LAC) is set to dazzle audiences once again with a spectacular lineup of live events for its 2024/2025 season. Officially commencing on September 28, 2024, the season promises to be a vibrant celebration of the arts, featuring an impressive array of performances that cater to all tastes.

“We’re thrilled to showcase a full roster of live shows once again at the Living Arts Centre, our city’s premiere performing arts theatre,” said Acting Mayor and Ward 9 Councillor Martin Reid. “We are committed to celebrating global and local artists. This season promises to be a wonderful celebration, bringing the wonder of live performance back to the 2023 Music City of the Year. I encourage everyone to check out the upcoming events happening in Mississauga and to catch a show this season.”

The LAC’s new season will launch with a series of high-profile events. An Evening With The Fab Four will kick things off with note-perfect renditions of The Beatles’ classics, followed by Labyrinth in Concert, a screening of the Jim Henson and David Bowie film accompanied by a live orchestra. Pink Martini, featuring China Forbes, will also take the stage, celebrating their 30th anniversary with a unique blend of classical, jazz, and old-fashioned pop.

Families will be delighted with Blippi: Join the Band Tour, where children can dance, sing, and learn about music with Blippi and special guest Meekah. Tribute to the Legends of Reggae: Bob Marley Edition will bring a live musical rockumentary to the LAC, paying homage to the reggae legend. Jazz enthusiasts can look forward to Matt Dusk Sings Tony Bennett, a tribute to the legendary Tony Bennett by the Platinum award-winning crooner Matt Dusk.

The season’s lineup also includes the iconic Sister Sledge, whose music has set dance floors alight worldwide. The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine will present The Nutcracker, a holiday classic that promises to transport audiences to a winter wonderland. Rock fans can enjoy Glass Tiger’s This Island Earth tour, while alternative group The Strumbellas, two-time Juno award winners, will captivate with their bright melodies. The Debaters Holiday Tour offers a unique comedy experience where audience members get to pick the winner in a battle of laughs and logic.

2025 will kick off with the international hit HYPROV – Improv Under Hypnosis, featuring renowned hypnotist Asad Mecci and Colin Mochrie from “Whose Line is it Anyway?” This show continues to impress following its sold-out Canadian tour and Off-Broadway run in 2022. The Gruffalo’s Child will enchant young audiences with Tall Stories’ adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved picture book.

Jeans ‘n Classics x Mississauga Symphony Orchestra: One Vision – The Music of Queen will pay homage to Freddie Mercury and Queen, offering a nostalgic night of music. Fans of Canadian rock can look forward to Bif Naked, and families can enjoy Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock LIVE, the first-ever stage show of the beloved series. Finally, hip-hop aficionados will not want to miss Talib Kweli, one of the genre’s most talented artists.

Jodi Robillos, Commissioner of Community Services, shared her excitement: “With each performance, the Living Arts Centre reaffirms its position as a performing arts destination within Mississauga. We’re thrilled to welcome audiences back to our stages and look forward to a season filled with unforgettable moments.”
