Mississauga Launches Youth Weeks and Sauga Summer Pass with Free Activities and Transit Access

Mississauga Youth Weeks Sauga Summer Pass 2026 bring free activities and transit access for youth

Mississauga youth will have access to a wide range of free programs and services this spring and summer as the City rolls out its annual Youth Weeks and opens registration for the Sauga Summer Pass.

Starting April 27, young residents can participate in free activities across the city and sign up for a program that offers complimentary transit and recreation access during the summer months.

Youth Weeks Offer Free Activities Across the City

Mississauga Youth Weeks will run from April 27 to May 8, 2026, providing youth aged 12 to 24 with opportunities to stay active, build skills and connect with their community.

All events are free and will take place at community centres and libraries throughout the city.

Programming includes:

  • Clay and crafts workshops
  • Water safety and aquatic activities
  • Career workshops at Mississauga Valley (May 4) and Malton Youth Hub (May 7)
  • Sledge hockey at Iceland Arena (May 1)
  • Sports tournaments and skills-building sessions

The City says the initiative is designed to promote healthy lifestyles, creativity and engagement during a busy time of year for young people.

Sauga Summer Pass Returns with Free Transit and Recreation

Registration for the Sauga Summer Pass also opens on April 27, offering youth aged 12 to 16 free access to MiWay transit and public swimming across Mississauga.

The pass includes:

  • Free MiWay bus rides
  • Free access to public swims at all City indoor and outdoor pools
  • Free fitness centre access for youth aged 14 to 16 (with parental consent)

The program is valid from June 26 to September 7 and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

City officials say the pass helps reduce financial barriers while encouraging youth to remain active and explore the city during the summer months.

In addition to recreation benefits, the program offers savings on transit, including $4.50 per cash fare and $2.90 per PRESTO trip.

How to Register

To register for the Sauga Summer Pass, applicants must bring:

  • A completed application form
  • A piece of physical identification confirming date of birth

Registration must be completed in person at participating community centres.

Supporting Youth Engagement and Accessibility

Both Youth Weeks and the Sauga Summer Pass are part of Mississauga’s broader effort to support youth engagement, accessibility and well-being.

By offering free programming and transit access, the City aims to ensure young residents have opportunities to stay active, connect with peers and access services regardless of financial constraints.
