Mississauga Welcomes Anna Cascioli as the New Director of Facilities Planning and Development

Mississauga — The City of Mississauga has announced the appointment of Anna Cascioli as the new Director of Facilities Planning and Development, effective July 25, 2024. In this role, Anna Cascioli will oversee the city’s building portfolio, including capital planning, asset management, space planning, and the delivery of both new and life-cycle building projects.

Cascioli brings nearly a decade of experience with the City of Mississauga, where she has served in various capacities, including as the Acting Director in 2023 and as the Senior Manager of the Capital Design and Construction team. Her leadership was crucial in the successful completion of several key projects, such as the Churchill Meadows Community Centre, The Malton Youth Hub – Jonathan Davis Centre, and the Hazel McCallion Central Library.

Before joining the City, Cascioli worked as a licensed architect in the private sector, where she provided a range of architectural and planning services. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business. Cascioli is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and she also holds certifications in LEED Green Associate BD+C and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Raj Sheth, Commissioner of Corporate Services, expressed his support for the new appointment: “I am very pleased to welcome Anna as the City’s new Director of Facilities Planning and Development. This appointment marks a significant step for the City of Mississauga as it continues to expand and improve its facilities and infrastructure, ensuring that its services and buildings meet the needs of its growing population.
