Mississauga Opens Applications for 2025 Culture and Community Grants
Mississauga, ON – Not-for-profit community groups across Mississauga are now invited to apply for the 2025 Culture and Community Grants, an annual initiative designed to support local arts, cultural projects, community events, and small-scale neighborhood projects. The City of Mississauga has officially opened the application period, with a deadline set for October 11, 2024.
The program offers a variety of grants tailored to different community needs, including:
- Arts and Culture Grant: For organizations dedicated to the promotion of local arts.
- Community Grant: Aimed at fostering community development and engagement.
- Cultural Festivals and Celebrations Grant: Supports cultural events that celebrate the diversity of Mississauga.
- Culture Projects Grant: Designed for innovative cultural initiatives.
- Small Projects Matching Grant: Helps fund smaller community projects with a matching component from the applicants.
To ensure a broad understanding of the application process and eligibility criteria, the City has scheduled several informational webinars. These sessions are intended to guide prospective applicants through the process, answer any questions, and provide clarity on the specific requirements of each grant category.

- Arts and Culture Grant & Culture Project Grant:
- Thursday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Thursday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Community Grant & Small Project Matching Grant:
- Wednesday, September 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Cultural Festivals and Celebrations Grant:
- Thursday, September 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Thursday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Community groups interested in applying are encouraged to attend these webinars to gain a better understanding of the program and enhance their chances of securing funding.
