From space science to drag stardom, the month’s performances promise something for everyone

MISSISSAUGA — The Living Arts Centre (LAC) is set to dazzle audiences this November with a diverse lineup of live performances presented by saugaLIVE, offering everything from educational family programming and independent film screenings to high-energy music and drag artistry.

Located in the heart of Mississauga’s downtown, the LAC continues to cement its place as one of the city’s premier cultural venues — where science meets storytelling, music meets inclusivity, and community meets creativity.

Stellar stories and space adventures

Science communicator and Netflix host Emily Calandrelli, known as “The Space Gal” from Emily’s Wonder Lab, will take audiences on a journey through space and STEM in an engaging, family-friendly presentation.

Film spotlight: Forgotten stories of Ontario’s Farmerettes

History enthusiasts and film lovers can enjoy Reel Thursdays: We Lend a Hand – The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes. The film, part of TIFF’s Film Circuit series, brings to life the untold history of women who supported Ontario’s wartime agricultural efforts during World War II.

Following the screening, director Colin Fields will join audiences for an exclusive post-show Q&A.
