Mississauga Launches Sauga Summer Pass Program for Youth: Making Summer Fun Affordable

Mississauga – As the temperatures rise and the sun shines brighter, the City of Mississauga is gearing up to ensure that youth aged 12-16 have a summer filled with excitement and adventure without breaking the bank. Introducing the Sauga Summer Pass program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at providing free access to transportation and recreational activities within the city.

From June 28 to September 2, 2024, young residents of Mississauga can take advantage of the Sauga Summer Pass to enjoy a range of benefits. The pass grants free rides on MiWay buses within the city limits, making it easier than ever for youth to explore all that Mississauga has to offer without worrying about transportation costs.

In addition to free transit, the Sauga Summer Pass also provides complimentary access to fun swims at both indoor and outdoor pools across the city. This means that youth can cool off and make a splash at their leisure, enjoying the refreshing waters without any financial burden.

Furthermore, for youth aged 14-16, the pass unlocks free entry to fitness centres, allowing them to stay active and healthy throughout the summer months. With some restrictions in place, interested individuals can add fitness centre access to their pass by completing additional steps with a parent or guardian at any community centre.

However, it’s important to note that the Sauga Summer Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis until the program reaches capacity. Youth interested in obtaining a pass are encouraged to act swiftly to secure their spot and make the most of this exciting opportunity.

For more information about the Sauga Summer Pass program, including how to apply and eligibility criteria, interested individuals can visit the official website at mississauga.ca/summerpass or contact MiWay at 905-615-INFO (4636) for transit-related inquiries.
