Panthers Shut Out Leafs 2–0 to Even Series at 2–2
Bobrovsky flawless as Toronto’s offense goes silent in pivotal Game 4 loss
SUNRISE, Fla. — The Toronto Maple Leafs’ playoff momentum came to a grinding halt Monday night as the Florida Panthers blanked them 2–0 in Game 4, evening their second-round series at two games apiece.
Sergei Bobrovsky was the star of the night, stopping all 23 shots for his fifth career playoff shutout and his first of the 2025 postseason. The Panthers got goals from Carter Verhaeghe in the second period and Sam Bennett, who added an empty-netter to seal the win.

Toronto, which entered the game with a chance to take a 3–1 stranglehold on the series, struggled to generate offense against Florida’s tight-checking defense. Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and Mitch Marner were held off the scoresheet as the Leafs failed to score for the first time this postseason.
Joseph Woll made 35 saves in a strong effort between the pipes for Toronto but was outdueled by Bobrovsky in a tense, low-scoring affair.
With the series now tied 2–2, the pivotal Game 5 shifts back to Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night, where the Leafs will look to regain control in front of their home crowd.
