Anaheim – In a hard-fought battle at the Honda Center on Sunday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs edged out the Anaheim Ducks with a 3-2 victory, bolstering their lead in the Atlantic Division.
Toronto initiated the scoring late in the first period when Max Domi maneuvered past Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas and netted a backhand goal at 19:24. Early in the second period, Mitch Marner extended the lead to 2-0 by capitalizing on a breakaway opportunity at 6:29.
Anaheim responded swiftly, with Leo Carlsson threading a wrist shot through traffic to halve the deficit at 7:50 of the second period. The Ducks then equalized early in the third, as Sam Colangelo scored on a power play at 2:16, following up on his own rebound.

The decisive moment came at 11:35 of the third period when Steven Lorentz redirected a pass from David Kampf into the net, securing the win for Toronto. Goalie Joseph Woll was instrumental in the victory, recording 29 saves.
With this win, the Maple Leafs (45-25-4) now hold a three-point advantage over the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers in the Atlantic Division standings.
Toronto will return home to host the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night, aiming to further solidify their divisional lead.
