Mae Martin to Host 2026 JUNO Awards as Billy Talent, Daniel Caesar and Industry Leaders Are Honoured

The 2026 JUNO Awards will see Mae Martin host Canada’s biggest night in music as Billy Talent receives the Humanitarian Award and Daniel Caesar earns international honours.

TORONTO — The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC have announced a slate of major honours and performers ahead of the 55th Annual JUNO Awards, set to take place in Hamilton this spring.

Acclaimed comedian, actor, and singer-songwriter Mae Martin will host Canada’s Biggest Night in Music, broadcasting live from TD Coliseum on Sunday, March 29, 2026, on CBC and CBC Gem.

Martin, whose work spans comedy, music, television, and podcasting, brings a distinctive voice to the JUNOS stage.

“I’m unbelievably honoured to be hosting The JUNOS this year,” Martin said in a statement. “The JUNOS have always been about celebrating artists who are bold, genre-defying, and unafraid to be a little weird.”

Daniel Caesar to Receive International Achievement Award

Multi-platinum artist Daniel Caesar will be honoured with the International Achievement Award and will also perform during the broadcast. The award recognizes Canadian artists who have achieved exceptional success and influence on the global stage.

Singer-songwriter William Prince is also confirmed to perform during the televised ceremony.

Billy Talent Recognized With Humanitarian Award

At the JUNO Awards Gala Presented by Music Canada on Saturday, March 28, rock band Billy Talent will receive the Humanitarian Award, recognizing their long-standing commitment to philanthropy, advocacy, and community impact.

Walt Grealis Special Achievement Awards Announced

Three influential figures in Canadian music will be honoured with the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award Presented by Slaight Music:

  • Alexander Mair (posthumous)

  • Sandy Pandya

  • Vinny Cinquemani

The award recognizes individuals whose leadership and contributions have had a lasting impact on Canada’s music industry.

JUNOfest Lineup Begins to Take Shape

CARAS also confirmed the first round of performers for JUNOfest Presented by CBC, the multi-venue live music festival that runs alongside JUNO Week. Additional artists and events will be announced in the coming weeks.
