Toronto – The Formula 1® Exhibition Toronto, presented by TSN, has been extended until September 15, 2024, and fans will now have the chance to marvel at a spectacular new feature: a life-sized LEGO® McLaren F1® race car. The intricate model, built from 175,000 LEGO bricks over 2000 hours, was created in collaboration with McLaren F1® and showcases detailed technical aspects including a V6 engine with moving pistons and visible internal mechanics.
The LEGO McLaren race car, which made its debut at the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2024 in Montreal, is making its first appearance in Toronto. McLaren driver Lando Norris, a known LEGO enthusiast, visited the car during its Montreal debut, adding to its excitement.
In addition to this eye-catching display, the exhibition now features several new elements:
- Make and Take Activity: Visitors can build their own McLaren Formula 1® Team mini car with LEGO bricks and take home a commemorative tile (available while supplies last).
- LEGO F1® Helmets: Three impressive LEGO-built Formula 1® helmets, each made from 850 bricks, are on display. These were designed and assembled by Canada’s sole LEGO Master Model Builder at the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Toronto.
