LEGO Celebrates Lunar New Year 2026 With Fire Horse–Inspired Sets Focused on Luck, Renewal and Togetherness
The Year of the Fire Horse is traditionally associated with movement, confidence, and bold new beginnings. LEGO’s 2026 Lunar New Year collection translates those symbolic values into hands-on builds that encourage families and adults alike to gather, create, and mark the season through meaningful rituals rather than décor alone.
The collection includes two new LEGO sets for 2026, alongside returning Spring Festival favourites that draw directly from Lunar New Year traditions, cultural symbolism, and festive storytelling.
New for 2026: Fortune, Growth and Calm
Among the new additions is the LEGO Fortune Master (SKU 40864), a 386-piece build designed for ages nine and up. The model depicts a traditional Fortune Master dressed in red and gold, surrounded by symbols of luck such as gold coins and red envelopes. The set includes interchangeable facial expressions and a hidden compartment, making it suitable for both interactive building and year-round display.
Also debuting this year is the LEGO Botanicals Peace Lily (SKU 11504), an adult-focused build aimed at builders aged 18 and over. The 474-piece set recreates a lifelike Peace Lily in three stages of bloom, complete with detailed buds and spadix. Designed as a calming, display-worthy piece, the set reflects themes of renewal and balance often associated with Lunar New Year.
Celebrating the Year of the Horse Through Motion and Storytelling
Returning Spring Festival builds continue to anchor the collection in Lunar New Year symbolism.
The LEGO Spring Festival Galloping Horse Canvas (SKU 80119) directly celebrates the Year of the Horse through movement. The 1,650-piece set features four brick-built horses that animate when a handle is turned, creating a dynamic display inspired by traditional scroll art. The set also includes minifigures of a painter and a person in a Year of the Horse costume, reinforcing cultural storytelling through play.
Another returning highlight is the LEGO Spring Festival Fortune Firecracker (SKU 80118), a large-scale decorative build that opens to reveal one of two festive scenes: a firework display or a welcoming celebration for the God of Fortune. The set includes six minifigures and is designed to encourage collaborative, family-focused building experiences during the holiday season.
Sets Designed for Reflection, Gifting and Year-Round Display
Rounding out the collection are LEGO sets that align with Lunar New Year themes beyond the calendar date itself.
The LEGO Icons Tranquil Garden (SKU 10315) offers an adult-oriented build inspired by traditional Japanese garden design, featuring a pavilion, arched bridge, koi carp, lotus flowers, and rearrangeable elements for mindful display.
Meanwhile, the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Playful Cat (SKU 31163) provides a versatile option for younger builders, allowing construction of three different animals from a single set. Its emphasis on transformation and imagination aligns with the spirit of renewal associated with the Lunar New Year.
