LEGO Unveils Father’s Day Gift Ideas for Gamer, Formula 1 and Star Wars Fans

LEGO Father’s Day Gift Ideas Focus on Nostalgia

The LEGO Group is spotlighting a wide range of collectible and display-focused sets ahead of Father’s Day, positioning shared play and nostalgia as part of this year’s gifting trend.

According to the 2026 LEGO Play Well Study, 95 per cent of Canadian parents say play helps build stronger family bonds and lasting memories, while 87 per cent say they wish they could spend more time playing together as a family.

The company says this year’s Father’s Day lineup reflects growing demand for hobby-based builds tied to gaming, Formula 1, movies, and sports fandom.

Nostalgic Gaming Builds Lead the Lineup

Among the featured releases is the LEGO Super Mario Game Boy set, a near 1:1 scale replica of the original Nintendo Game Boy.

Designed for adult builders, the 421-piece display model recreates classic gaming details including interchangeable Game Paks and lenticular screens inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Land.

LEGO says nostalgia-driven products continue to resonate strongly with adult fans looking for display pieces tied to childhood memories and gaming culture.

Formula 1 Sets Arrive During Major Racing Season

The collection also leans heavily into motorsports as Formula 1 continues expanding globally during the 2026 racing season.

Featured products include the LEGO Icons Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher set, which recreates one of Ferrari’s most dominant Formula 1 cars.

The 735-piece display build includes:

  • a detailed V10 engine,
  • working steering,
  • and a Michael Schumacher minifigure with podium accessories.

Additional racing-themed releases include:

The timing aligns with increasing interest in Formula 1 across Canada, particularly following the continued popularity of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.

Star Wars and Fantasy Builds Target Collectors

For science fiction and fantasy fans, LEGO is also highlighting several premium collector-oriented releases.

The LEGO Star Wars AT-AT recreates the iconic Battle of Hoth walker from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, while the LEGO Star Wars Grogu offers a detailed build inspired by The Mandalorian universe.

Fantasy-themed releases include:

The Shire set recreates Bilbo Baggins’ birthday celebration from The Lord of the Rings trilogy and includes multiple interactive scenes and character figures.

Soccer and FIFA Builds Ahead of 2026 Tournament

LEGO is also expanding its sports-themed lineup as excitement builds toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The company’s soccer-themed collection includes:

The World Cup Trophy build includes a replica trophy display and a FIFA World Cup 2026-themed minifigure.

Family Play Continues to Drive LEGO Growth

LEGO says the featured sets are intended to support both solo collecting and family-building experiences, as multi-generational play continues to grow across the toy and collectibles market.

The Father’s Day lineup is now available through LEGO Canada and participating retailers across Canada.
