Josie Pingitore Named President of Brampton Honey Badgers
Brampton, ON – The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have promoted former Vice President Josie Pingitore to the role of team President, the organization announced Tuesday.
Pingitore, who has over 20 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, joined the Honey Badgers 10 months ago as Vice President. Her background includes expertise in project management, creative business development, and relationship building. She has been part of the CEBL since its inception in 2018, contributing to the league’s growth and success.
“I am honoured to step into the role of President of the Brampton Honey Badgers,” Pingitore said. “It has been a privilege to be part of this organization’s growth and success, and I am excited to lead us into the next chapter. With our dedicated team, passionate fans, and strong community partnerships, I look forward to building on our momentum and continuing to elevate the Honey Badgers both on and off the court.”
In her new role, Pingitore will oversee basketball and business operations, strategic partnerships, and community initiatives, ensuring the Honey Badgers remain a leading franchise in the CEBL.
Pingitore has worked with several major Canadian sports organizations, including the CEBL league office, where she advanced to a Senior Director role. Her experience also includes positions with FIFA, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Canadian Soccer Association, Ticketmaster, and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).
Jermaine Anderson, the Honey Badgers’ General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations, expressed confidence in Pingitore’s leadership.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Josie over the past year and have seen first-hand her dedication, leadership, and willingness to help provide the best environment for our staff and players,” Anderson said. “I’m excited for the future of the Honey Badgers organization under her guidance.”
