JIM CUDDY BAND TO HEADLINE 26TH ANNUAL TIM HORTONS SOUTHSIDE SHUFFLE

Mississauga – The 26th annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival is set to make a grand return to Port Credit and Memorial Park from September 6 to 8, featuring a stellar lineup of musical talent. Headlining this year’s event will be the acclaimed Jim Cuddy Band, with the Legendary Downchild Blues Band bringing the festival to a memorable close as part of their farewell tour.

The three-day festival will showcase over 40 Canadian and international acts across multiple stages at Port Credit Memorial Park. The Brightwater Mainstage at the north end of the park will feature Jim Cuddy Band on Saturday, September 7, at 8 p.m. “We’ve scheduled Cuddy a bit earlier to ensure his fans can enjoy the prime spot and to fill the park early,” says Chuck Jackson, Festival Artistic Director and founder. The night will continue with the energetic Zydeco sounds of CJ Chenier and the Red-Hot Louisiana Band at 10 p.m.

The festival’s finale on Sunday will be headlined by the Legendary Downchild Blues Band, who are marking their farewell tour after 55 years of influential performances. “This year’s show will be particularly special for us and our dedicated fans,” says Jackson.

Other notable acts include Sue Foley, who will headline Friday night, and a range of performances throughout the weekend by Marriner & Bowskill, Bywater Call, Philip Sayce, Matt Minglewood, The Blackburn Brothers, Durham County Poets, and The Ladies of Sweet Soul Music.

In addition to the mainstage events, the festival will feature the free Saturday afternoon LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle, showcasing over 20 musical acts. The Youth Band Challenge, featuring young talent from ages 12 to 18, will also be part of the free programming. On Sunday morning, the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame will honor local music icons Adrian Anantawan and Sergio Galli.

Tickets for the Brightwater Mainstage are priced at $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, and $30 for Sunday, with a weekend pass available for $80. An upgraded General Admission VIP area is available for an additional $10 per day. Children 12 and under are free with an adult.
