Jasper Rebuilds: Federal Government Commits to Long-Term Recovery After Wildfires
Ottawa, Ontario – In the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Jasper last summer, the federal government has pledged continued support to ensure the long-term recovery of the historic town and its surrounding national park. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today announced that Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development, and Official Languages, will serve as the Ministerial Lead for Jasper, taking on a crucial role in coordinating recovery efforts.
Jasper, renowned for its natural beauty and cultural significance, faced unprecedented challenges during the wildfires.
