J.P. Wiser’s Launches 42-Year-Old Whisky as Part of Their Decades Series
Toronto – Canadian Whisky brand J.P. Wiser’s has unveiled “The Decades Series,” a new collection that celebrates the brand’s rich heritage and innovative spirit. With a history spanning over 165 years, J.P. Wiser’s continues to set the standard in Canadian Whisky production.
The highlight of this series is the J.P. Wiser’s 42-Year-Old, the oldest age statement the brand has ever released. Distilled in 1982, this whisky was barreled during a significant era for Canadian Whisky as the industry faced a downturn and J.P. Wiser was relocating its distillery to Windsor, Ontario. The unique climate of its location on the banks of the Detroit River has imparted distinctive flavor notes to this exceptional whisky.
“This extraordinary whisky is a celebration of craftsmanship and the pursuit of perfection. We are thrilled to introduce the J.P. Wiser’s 42-Year-Old as the inaugural release of ‘The Decades Series,'” said Dr. Don Livermore, Master Blender at J.P. Wiser’s. “Every aspect of this creation embodies the artistry and tradition that defines J.P. Wiser’s.”
The J.P. Wiser’s 42-Year-Old has matured in a combination of Speyside Single Malt Casks, Canadian Oak barrels, and Ex-Bourbon barrels, resulting in a radiant gold nugget color. It offers opulent aromas of green apple, crème brûlée, vintage oak, orange tea, sourdough, and dried fruits. The taste profile features dark cherry, English toffee, oakwood, roasted nuts, marble rye, nutmeg, and subtle leather, leading to a warm cinnamon finish—a true dessert in a glass.
Available for a limited time across Canada and the USA starting June 2024, the J.P. Wiser’s 42-Year-Old retails for $469.99. Discover the exceptional flavors of ‘The Decades Series’ and learn more about this rare release at www.jpwisers.com.
