The Marlies started strong, with early goals from Robert Mastrosimone and Luke Haymes, followed by Logan Show’s eighth goal early in the second period, putting them ahead 3-0. Foudy responded quickly, scoring just 14 seconds later, igniting the Islanders’ comeback. Despite a goal from Joe Blandisi that extended Toronto’s lead to 4-1, the Islanders rallied with four unanswered goals. Brian Pinho netted his 23rd of the season, Foudy added another on a breakaway, Beckman scored a power-play goal, and Thiesing secured the game-winner early in the third period.
The Islanders’ special teams were effective, going 1-for-3 on the power play and successfully killing both Marlies’ power plays. This victory marks Bridgeport’s 15th of the season and concludes their series against Toronto with points in both games.
