Global Announces Winter 2025 Programming Lineup Featuring New Dramas, Game Shows, and Returning Favourites
TORONTO — Global Television has unveiled its highly anticipated winter 2025 programming schedule, showcasing an impressive lineup of original dramas, classic game shows, and popular returning series. The announcement promises a mix of compelling storytelling and entertainment designed to capture audiences of all ages.
Kicking off the New Year, Global’s original hit Family Law returns for its third season on Sunday, January 5, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Created by acclaimed Canadian author Susin Nielsen and starring Jewel Staite, Victor Garber, and Lauren Holly, the legal drama delves once again into the tumultuous lives of the dysfunctional Svensson family as they tackle emotionally charged cases.
Adding to the drama slate, the new medical procedural Doc debuts Tuesday, January 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Inspired by a true story, the series stars Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen, a Chief of Internal Medicine who must rebuild her life after a brain injury erases eight years of her memory.
Later in January, audiences will be introduced to Watson, a modern twist on the classic Sherlock Holmes story. Starring Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson, the show shifts focus from solving crimes to unraveling medical mysteries. The series premieres Sunday, January 26, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Global’s new game show offering, Hollywood Squares, premieres Thursday, January 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Nate Burleson and featuring Drew Barrymore as the center square, the revival of the classic tic-tac-toe game show boasts celebrity guests such as Tyra Banks, RuPaul, and Julie Bowen.
Reality fans can look forward to the return of Survivor, Canada’s top-rated reality series, with its 48th season debuting Wednesday, February 26, in a two-hour premiere.
